Brea seniors can get an assist through the Brea Senior Center to make local transportation a little easier. By partnering with Orange County Office on Aging, OCTA Senior Mobility Program, and Community SeniorServ, and seeking grants and other funding resources to cover operational costs, the Center offers several options to help seniors get around town.
Brea Senior Shuttle
The City of Brea currently offers shuttle van transportation for various needs. This shuttle provides free transportation to the Senior Center Monday through Friday.
There are two pick up options for rides in the morning. Participants on the first route will be picked up between 8:15 and 9:30 am. Those on the second route are picked up between 9:30 and 10:30 am. The shuttle also provides two options for rides back home after lunch on a first-come, first-served basis. After a first round of drop offs, the shuttle returns to the Senior Center to pick up those wanting go on the second trip. An application process and residency requirement apply.
(Please keep in mind that on certain days a pick-up route may be at capacity. If you wish to join a route on a day that is currently full, you will be placed on the wait list until an opening occurs.)
Local Shopping Trips
Departures from the Senior Center are scheduled as follows:
First & Third Mondays - 12:30 p.m.

There are restrictions on the number of rides allotted per month due to limited funds. However, ride destinations may expand outside of Brea to pre-selected neighboring cities. Co-pay levels are $0, $3, or $5 maximum per ride. Applications are available at the Senior Center.
Any senior resident is welcome to call the Case Management team at 714-990-7750 with questions about these City services or other resources that may be available through partnering agencies.
